Get Pre-Approved: Before touring homes, we do suggest that you first be pre-approved for a Mortgage loan. Getting pre-approved means that a lender issues a letter of commitment to provide you with a specific loan amount for your purchase. This is very important as all sellers are asking for a copy of a pre-approval letter with an offer submission.
The lender will perform a quick interview of your current financial status, and a pre-approval can be accomplished very quickly and in most case's done on the initial phone interview.
